About Me
Hey there, I'm Mariana!
My running journey isn't just about logging miles; it's about discovering what you're truly capable of – and then helping you find that same strength within yourself. If there's one thing I've learned, it's that we can do hard things.
From Pavement to Purpose
I started lacing up my shoes casually in 2017, but my true transformation began in 2022 when I committed to training for my first marathon. That experience, surrounded by the incredible support of my local running club, was pivotal. It wasn't just about the distance; it was about the profound power of perseverance and the undeniable magic of community when you're pushing through those tough miles.
Since then, I’ve had the joy of crossing the finish line of three full marathons and even conquered an ultra-marathon on Catalina Island – proving to myself, again and again, that pushing past perceived limits is incredibly rewarding. In 2025, I took on a new role as a pace leader for significant events like the LA Marathon, Rose Bowl Half, and Inaugural Venice Beach Half, helping others find their stride and reach their goals.

Empowering You to Do Hard Things
Running isn't just a sport for me; it's a vehicle for growth, resilience, and personal discovery. It's about that exhilarating moment when you realize, "Wow, I really can do hard things." That's why I became a certified running coach in 2025.
My greatest passion is guiding new runners, and those ready for a fresh challenge, to experience that same exhilarating feeling of accomplishment when they cross the finish line for the very first time. I believe everyone deserves to feel that unique blend of exhaustion and elation that comes from achieving something they once thought impossible.
Let's Run Together!
While I love the challenge of a fast solo run, pushing my own limits, you’ll also find me enjoying long, easy group runs – because running with others truly fuels the spirit of community.
Right now, I'm focused on my own personal goal of hitting a 25-minute 5k (gotta keep pushing myself!). But my ultimate mission is to help more people like you realize that running isn't just about speed or distance; it's about finding that inner strength and celebrating how much you can do.
If you're curious about starting your running journey, looking for that next challenge, or just want to connect over the joy of the pavement, I'd love to hear from you. Let's make some miles and celebrate some victories together!
